Who will go the narrow way

1.
Who will go the narrow way,
Bear the marks of Christ each day,
Leave behind their friends and kin,
Wholly give themselves to Him,
Like a lamb that’s slain as He,
Blessing for the others be?
2.
Who will bear the cross and shame,
Bear reproach for Jesus’ name,
And though suff’rings here abound,
Daily lay their own lives down—
With their lot in life content
On the way that Jesus went?
3.
Who a grain of wheat will be
In the ground where none can see—
There to die, be hidden there,
“Bear much fruit,” their constant prayer?
Who will walk in godly fear—
Suffer persecution here?
4.
Who will drink the cup with Christ—
He who all things sacrificed—
Baptized be with fire from God,
Tread the winepress Jesus trod,
Follow Him each place they’re led,
With no place to lay their head?
