Do you Christ's glorious body behold

1.
Do you Christ’s glorious body behold,
City of gold so bright?—
Raised up from mire, living stones God does mold.
Perfectly they unite.
Chorus:
These answered God’s desire,
Gripped by His zeal and fire.
Up out of Edom, like Jesus Himself,
They come in red attire.
2.
Cleansed from the leaven of hate and deceit,
Their cry to heav’n breaks through:
“Your flesh in truth is the food that we eat;
Master, we’d be like You.”
3.
Jesus’ e-lect, those He bought and did seal,
Count their own lives as naught.
Baptized they are with the Spirit of zeal—
Self must to death be brought.
4.
Value the place in the body you’re giv’n;
Guard against sloth and whim.
Drink of the Spirit God pours out from heav’n.
Christ’s bride will be like Him.
