From God's temple sounds the cry today!

1.
From God’s temple sounds the cry today!
“Come!” the Spirit and the bride both say.
Come, all those who have a calling!
Soon the darkness will be falling.
Flee this evil world of vain excess;
Stand against the harlot’s drunkenness.
Come to judgment, light, and blessedness
Here in God’s house.
Chorus:
House of God, a refuge safe provides—
Joyous, peaceful home for Jesus’ bride.
None can harm us when we here abide.
O come! Yes, come!
2.
From sin’s darkness Jesus set us free.
Pray for revelation earnestly.
Ears He opens—now we hear it:
Word of wisdom from the Spirit.
Here among the saints in light now we
God’s inheritance, so great, can see.
Untold pow’r is working mightily
Among us here.
3.
God be praised who sits on heaven’s throne!
We have come to Zion’s cornerstone.
Many stumble, unbelieving.
Upright souls with joy receive Him.
Now the Church is built in one accord—
Christ’s own body, temple of the Lord.
We’ll in splendor dwell forevermore!
O come! Yes, come!
