Do you see the signs we're given

1.
Do you see the signs we’re given?
Do you clearly understand?
People by distress are driven;
Fear is gripping every land.
’Mongst the nations tumult rages.
Peace has fled this world below.
Earth is tasting sin’s harsh wages,
But we have God’s Word, we know.
Chorus:
We will work with expectation,
Watching, waiting for our Lord.
Soon His saints from every nation,
He’ll take home to their reward.
2.
See the fig tree, how it’s growing.
See the other trees—it’s clear.
These are signs, and they are showing
Christ’s return is very near.
Brothers, sisters, it is needful!
To be ready for that day.
Let us lift our heads! Be heedful!
Do not sleep the time away.
3.
Fearsome weapons, smoke and fire
Bring distress to south and north.
From the pit there spews out mire.
Lies, apostasy pour forth.
See how lawlessness is growing.
Antichrist is near at hand.
Though it’s dark, we’ve joy in knowing
Jesus soon will take command.
