In the Spirit, I can see You

1.
In the Spirit, I can see You,
Savior, as You go to prayer.
Then all night upon the mountain
In great need You battle there.
Chorus:
I can see You, precious Savior;
For our sakes in prayer You fought—
In the conflict did not waver
That true peace to earth be brought.
2.
You took on our human nature;
Flesh and blood became Your lot.
You through prayer gained strength to conquer:
Into death all sin You brought.
3.
With strong cries and tears You pleaded;
God could see Your holy fear.
You endured; Your cries were heeded.
You prevailed when tempted here.
4.
Thank You, Lord, the way You opened;
Sin You conquered totally.
In the footsteps You have left us,
We will follow faithfully.
Chorus:
Thanks for vict’ry, dear Lord Jesus!
Soon the crown of life we’ll wear.
Home forever we’ll sing praises!
There’s no separation there.
