Farewell to all this vain world's show

1.
Farewell to all this vain world’s show;
Its bitterness so well I know.
Farewell each thing and all who’d keep
Me from my longing great and deep.
Chorus:
Farewell to ways of sin and shame;
Forever I disown their claim.
For now I’m saved and glad and free;
With Jesus shall I ever be.
2.
I cried, O Lord, in deepest need;
My humble pleadings Thou didst heed.
From bonds of sin I now am free;
Thy Spirit’s power dwells in me.
3.
O Savior, Thou hast rescued me;
Thy love I never can repay.
My life, my all, I give to Thee;
O mold and use me, Lord, I pray.
