So many are driven by storm winds around,
Because they refuse to believe.
To human traditions and sin they are bound;
The lies of the devil deceive.

In blindness I followed the masses so long,
By reasonings bound up within.
I could not break free, for the chains were so strong.
My spirit was shackled by sin.

But God is my strength now; He freed me indeed.
Where once it was dark, He gave light.
’Twas just like a dream when the prisoner was freed.
My sorrows have vanished from sight.

In Christ’s body hidden, I’m nailed to the cross.
I’m firmly with nails of faith held.
The foe has been bound, and his power is lost.
He’s crushed on the cross and thus felled.

My heart’s filled with joy; captive Israel is free.
Praise God for the help He bestows.
Like streams in the southland that flow t’ward the sea,

By faith we’ll stand fast and keep watch on the way.
No hireling or robber can block
The door to God’s knowledge. It’s open to stay
For all of the sheep in God’s flock.
