Jesus, You're the Great Physician

1.
Jesus, You’re the Great Physician, strength for the weak, the faint one’s Friend.
Your longsuff’ring leads to salvation; Your love’s pure and never will end.
You have gone before us and opened up the new and living way.
How we long to know of Your ways, Lord; In Your light we’ll walk each day.
2.
Jesus, He is life eternal. He’ll give you rest; your soul He’ll save,
If you turn from pathways of darkness and for Him become as a slave.
In the Word abides life and Spirit, Jesus clearly to us said;
Nothing else but God’s Word can nourish hungry souls with living bread.
(1 Cor. 7:22; 9:21)
3.
In the steps of our great Master come, let us walk in faithfulness.
One another’s burdens we’re bearing, God’s law keeping—thus we progress.
Let us live before the Lord’s face here as the fight of faith we fight,
Never wand’ring round in the darkness, making sure our lamps shine bright.
