1.
In these last days a work so blessed
Is wrought of God; O come and see!
A body formed to Christ’s own glory—
His holy bride, as chaste as He.
And all the members of this body
Shall come to perfect purity;
True branches growing and maturing,
Deep in the Vine they’ll fruitful be.

2.
Wilt thou be with this joyful people?
Then hate thine “I”—thy bitter foe.
Purge out the leaven of thy self-life,
For narrow is the way they go.
So run the race that’s set before thee;
Cast off each thing that weighs thee down.
Redeem the time that God doth give thee;
In every deed, in Him be found.
Then hate thine “I”—thy bitter foe.
Purge out the leaven of thy self-life,
For narrow is the way they go.
So run the race that’s set before thee;
Cast off each thing that weighs thee down.
Redeem the time that God doth give thee;
In every deed, in Him be found.
3.
The bride of Christ, ’tis plainly written,
Is holy, pure; in white she’s dressed.
She’s as a dove in rock cleft hidden;
She has His mind and image blest.
How blest are they who are invited
Unto the marriage of the Lamb.
But His pure bride has greater blessing,
For where He went, she followed Him.
