There's rejoicing in the heavens

1.
There’s rejoicing in the heavens
When the saints their course have run.
Rest from toil and temptation,
To their rightful home they’ve come.
It is surely so much better
Than all joy and gladness here.
Think to always dwell together
With their Lord and Savior dear.
2.
In God’s sight it is so precious
When a godly soul has died—
Through death’s veil and home from battle
With the Savior to abide.
They behold His radiant splendor,
Gaze upon His glorious face,
And in all the angels’ presence
They receive His warm embrace.
3.
Clouds of witnesses about us,
Spirits of the just ones there,
With their Judge have rest so boundless,
For they kept His Word with care.
Midst the hosts of angels thronging,
There in glorious peace to stay—
But they wait with hearts of longing
For that great reunion Day.
4.
Untold bliss and joy forever,
Boundless time our Lord to praise,
Endless time to speak together—
Be prepared in all your ways!
Let us lift our heads with gladness;
Our redemption Day is nigh.
Lay hold now of heaven’s goodness.
Then we’ll meet there in the sky.
