My Jesus, Thou from whom there's nothing hidden

1.
My Jesus, Thou from whom there’s nothing hidden,
Thou knowest every secret of the heart.
In all my need I now in Thee am anchored.
The source and fullness of all things Thou art.
2.
Let me behold Thee as Thou art, my Savior.
O draw me, Lord; I’ll hasten after Thee.
Thy Word is truth; with equity Thou judgest.
Thy judgment true brings fire that purgeth me.
3.
O give me grace to fix my roots so firmly,
Deep in Thy words of truth and righteousness.
As each support of flesh from me is taken,
Then give me grace upon Thy Word to rest.
4.
Give pow’r to fight the fight of faith with patience,
That every voice of unbelief be stilled.
And in my lamp may light be ever burning;
May all my vessels, Lord, with oil be filled.
5.
Preserve me, Lord, from building in high places
With hay and straw that to the earth belong.
I long to follow Thee in humble service
And thus possess a life in Thee made strong.
6.
O keep me, Lord, from foolish self-deception,
From thinking that so rich and strong I am.
O may I never cling to such illusions,
For Thou who triest me art close at hand.
7.
May Thy longsuff’ring be to my salvation
As long as it is still the day of grace;
And from all sin, O may Thy judgments free me.
Lord, Thou wilt surely guide me all my days.
