Rise and go, rise and go out of Egypt

1.
Rise and go, rise and go out of Egypt—
Out of slavery’s dark, dreary land.
Christ has opened a way through the desert;
He will lead through the hot, burning sand.
He will bring you to joy and to blessing,
Into freedom from lusts and from sin.
Let Christ enter—your whole heart possessing.
Leave your folly, a new life begin.
2.
O repent! Leave this world far behind you.
From it’s lies and deceit turn away.
Do not waste any more of your life there.
God is longing to save you today.
Serving sin leads to darkness forever.
O how tragic to perish in sin.
From your need Jesus Christ will deliver,
For He died that your soul He could win.
