Will you leave this world behind you

1.
Will you leave this world behind you?
Will you heed God’s call today?
Will you break from sins that bind you
And God’s blessed laws obey.
Jesus died and has arisen
To deliver you and me.
He will free you from your prison,
Though your sins as scarlet be.
2.
Do you seek the Spirit’s fire?
Baptized from on high to be?
God must be your one desire;
Yield to Him wholeheartedly.
Will you bear Christ’s death within you?
Unto sin be reckoned dead?
If you do so and continue,
Then His will shall be your bread.
3.
Would you help the souls who suffer,
Free those burdened down with care?
All for Jesus you must offer;
You’ll have blessing then to share.
Do you long for grace from heaven
To uplift those weighed with need
With the help from God you’re given
From His Word, so they are freed?
4.
Soon the trumpet will be sounding;
In the skies Christ will appear.
With a mighty voice resounding,
He’ll call home His saints so dear.
Will you then be left or taken
When He calls away His bride?
Make the choice! From sin awaken.
Now’s the time, friend, to decide.
