Many in blindness proclaim so securely

1.
Many in blindness proclaim so securely:
“Nothing to do! Jesus all things has done!”
Veiled is their sight; they’re deceived by this folly—
Blind to the way made through Jesus, God’s Son.
Chorus:
Love so amazing and grace without measure!
Jesus has opened a new, living way.
We will obey; yes, we’ll live for God’s pleasure,
Following Christ on the new, living way.
2.
Satan beguiles and misleads unbelievers,
Telling them lies so in darkness they stay.
He deceives many, though Christ for them suffered,
Giving His life’s blood to open the way.
3.
Even the righteous the devil entices—
Seeks to obscure Jesus’ glorious way.
God’s light exposes all Satan’s devices;
Now we have power! We won’t go astray!
4.
O how the Lord suffers long and is patient
With all the souls who refuse to believe!
Living for self is so human and natural,
Yet God can change you if Christ you receive.
5.
Come then, dear soul, far too long you’ve resisted.
Jesus can free you, for He is life’s Source.
Nail to the cross all your selfish desires.
Christ did the same, and He finished His course.
