To serve in the body is each member's calling

1.
To serve in the body is each member’s calling,
And help both from great and from small does he need.
To stand all alone is so very perplexing;
’Tis but in the body his work can succeed.
Chorus:
Are you a member of His body?
Have you found your service there?
Are you a member of His body?
O then serve with what you are!
2.
Each member’s equipped both with gifts and with talents
That suit him and help him the body to build.
The body has need of each one of the members,
But there is no room for the proud and self-willed.
3.
A member has never desire to be greater,
Another, or diff’rent from just what he is.
Content with his service, without seeking honor,
He has quite enough with the work that is his.
4.
In peace all the members are working together;
Though ministries vary, there’s blest harmony.
Each member is valued; none meets with refusal.
There’s none self-sufficient, whoe’er he may be.
