“Truth shall spring out of the earth, and righteousness shall look down from heaven.” Psalm 85:11.

“Rain down, you heavens, from above, and let the skies pour down righteousness; let the earth open, let them bring forth salvation, and let righteousness spring up together. I, the Lord, have created it.” Isa. 45:8.

This is just what is happening in these days. By God’s grace, we have always loved the truth and proclaimed it. The reason people hate us is that they do not think that truth is love, even though it is written that love rejoices in the truth.

But now righteousness is raining down from heaven, and soon it will pour down from the skies. People’s hearts are open, and it brings forth salvation as fruit. Truth does not come from people who are highly educated; it comes up from the earth—from ordinary people. And righteousness looks down from heaven and agrees with it.

The Spirit of God and gifts of the Spirit were poured out abundantly, and we were quite amazed at how wisely people used these gifts during the conference.

Newly converted people were given the opportunity to testify, and many friends from Brevik and the surrounding areas testified clearly and concisely. To begin with, they found our preaching of the Word and Spirit of truth difficult to digest. Now they love it and cannot do without it. Sentimental preaching about love—without truth in Spirit and Word—is already disgusting to them. It is truly a plague. May God liberate His people from all this hypocrisy and whitewashing. When the rain of righteousness pours down from heaven, it will wash all the whitewash away; and when the same rain falls on the soil of people’s hearts, the fruits of righteousness grow up. God is righteous. He allows each person to reap the fruits of the path he chooses.

There was also an opportunity for people who had recently been healed by prayer and faith to testify—but only the ones who had truly been healed. Many men and women testified, one after the other. They praised God for healing from various illnesses. This was very faith-strengthening for all of us.

Servants are now growing up among the young brothers. They have been converted since their childhood. They have participated in children’s meetings and conferences, youth conferences and adult conferences, besides having attended many Bible studies and prayer meetings. This has all been voluntary, because they have a great desire and interest in being there. Now they are in the prime of life, and they are well equipped with the Spirit of God and gifts. They also have a lot of experience, considering how young they are. Several of them have a great deal of wisdom already, so that they love and proclaim the Word of the cross. Truly these men are our hope and our crown. They are our living letters of commendation, if anyone would like to receive that sort of letter.

The hall was packed—almost overflowing. If it gets too small, God will show us other ways. Honor and praise to His name for everything. We preach His Word and we seek His honor. Then He who loves righteousness will grant us our rights by letting righteousness rain down from heaven. May we live in such a way that the testimony of the Spirit, the water, and the blood are manifest in us. That is greater than having the testimony of man. When we have this testimony in our hearts, we are not concerned about any resistance, whether it comes from ungodly people or religious people. For the Spirit that is in us is stronger than the spirit in the world.
