If in the Church you want to be a blessing,
Uphold God’s Word, and you will start progressing.
Let Christ have full possession of your heart.
Be from the world completely set apart.

While young you’re often faced with strong temptation,
So watch and pray in every situation
And live a conscious life in Jesus’ sight.
Resist the devil’s wiles with zeal and might.

3.

For pow’r and help, cry out to your Creator.
You cannot win your youth-time battles later.
Now is the time to fight—you mustn’t wait.
So many weep in vain when it’s too late.

4.

To do the good we in the Church are learning.
God helps us when for this our hearts are burning,
And it goes well with those who choose to bless.
We choose, ourselves, if we’ll find happiness.
