God's Word came down and in flesh with us dwelled

1.
God’s Word came down and in flesh with us dwelled.
Then we His glorious power beheld.
This by the Firstborn was made manifest.
Fullness of grace and of truth He possessed.
Chorus:
Who then can fully this work comprehend?
Down to the earth God His glory did send.
God’s Son revealed it to us all His days.
O what a grace! To the Lamb we sing praise!
2.
Jesus forgives and forgets all my sin—
Shows me my failings and heals me within,
Leads on the way of the truth by His hand.
His grace exceeds all that I understand.
3.
Let us forgive and forget as did Christ,
Follow the One who His rights sacrificed.
Lay down our life; no demands here to make—
We’ll receive back all we give for His sake.
