The forces are gath’ring and arming for war—
A great throng of heroes for God.
The hour of decision has come. Be alert!
Give heed to this glorious Word.

The warriors are gath’ring around their great King;
They’re fighting for peace in the world.
They’re all given armor and swords at their sides;
God’s unchanging Word is their Sword.
/: They never are fearful; they battle in peace,
At rest in the Word of the Lord. :/

In darkness and ignorance many are bound;
They’re blind to the heavenly light.
The foes of the truth strive in blindness and hate
To silence the ones who would fight.
/: In this lies the battle and also the prize
For all who would shine as a light. :/

Behold, as a judgment has light come to earth,
’Gainst powers of darkness to fight.
And hate is awakened wherever it comes,
But now is its vict’ry in sight.

Who cherish the things of this earth.
The joy that they have is so empty and slight;
