1.
The forces are gath’ring and arming for war—
A great throng of heroes for God.
The hour of decision has come. Be alert!
Give heed to this glorious Word.
/: Yet still they are gath’ring; will you be along
To battle for Jesus, our Lord? :/

The warriors are gath’ring around their great King;
They’re fighting for peace in the world.
They’re all given armor and swords at their sides;
God’s unchanging Word is their Sword.

At rest in the Word of the Lord. :/

In darkness and ignorance many are bound;
They’re blind to the heavenly light.
The foes of the truth strive in blindness and hate
To silence the ones who would fight.

For all who would shine as a light. :/

Behold, as a judgment has light come to earth,
’Gainst powers of darkness to fight.
And hate is awakened wherever it comes,
But now is its vict’ry in sight.
/: So now on behalf of the truth we will strive,
For Jesus, our Savior, is nigh. :/

But woe to opposers of judgment and light,
Who cherish the things of this earth.
The joy that they have is so empty and slight;
As chaff in the wind is its worth.

They mind only things of the earth. :/

But all who with gladness their cross daily bear
And dare be for Jesus a light—
Eternal, unfading, the crown they will wear;
’Tis these in whom Jesus delights.

His coming in power and might. :/
