See the Prophet come from Naz'reth

1.
See the Prophet come from Naz’reth, followed by the multitude.
By His Words their hearts are stirred; they don’t grow tired; they don’t lack food.
For His speech is full of blessing, sword and balm in every Word,
/: Bringing light that judges darkness; none like Him they’ve ever heard. :/
2.
But when to His shameful death upon the cross this Man was led,
Where were all the throngs of people?—those He’d in the desert fed?
Though they’d in the light rejoiced, they did not do what it required,
/: For the message of the cross was hard, and not what they desired. :/
3.
Yet today there still are crowds who in the light rejoice and play.
Few walk in this light from heaven; few take up their cross each day.
Few are those who truly seek eternal life with burning love—
/: In Christ’s death made one, that life and peace they gain from God above. :/
(1 Cor. 10:1-12)
4.
Fellowship in Jesus’ body: “I in them and they in Me.”
“I’m the Vine and you’re the branches. Dwell in Me—faith’s fruit there’ll be.”
“I’m the Master, you’re disciples. Come, yes, come and learn of Me.”
/: “Take My yoke up; bear My burden; from Me learn humility.” :/
5.
Once your hand is on the plow, do not look back as you progress.
When you have said “Yes” to Christ, then all your life keep saying “Yes.”
Crucified by faith with Jesus to the world and it to you,
/: Thus you truly learn of Him, for then He’s no more hid from view. :/
