God's Spirit tears down every work of man

1.
God’s Spirit tears down every work of man.
Naught else but what is wrought in God will stand.
Come, rich and poor! Make haste, young and old!
Sell out! Sell out! so you can buy tried gold!
Make haste! Make haste! The Lord will soon return.
All wood and hay and stubble then will burn.
2.
In need before Your face, O Lord, I fall.
By You, Lord, I am broken—I give all.
The blood flows where each tie has been cut.
Dear Jesus, I am Yours no matter what.
You first loved me; Your death has set me free.
You’ve won my heart for all_ eternity.
3.
For You, Lord Jesus, I cast all aside.
You’ve gripped me to be Yours alone, Your bride.
The spirit You have made dwell in me
You yearn for with great zeal and jealousy—
Your true reward! Let wrath be now outpoured
On everything that keeps me from You, Lord!
4.
You’ve taken full possession of my heart.
You said to me, “I finish what I start”
In Your elect, who cry day and night;
I’ll never rest until I have my right.
Avenge! Avenge me of my enemy!
So death is swallowed up in victory.
5.
Outside the camp with You, Lord, on the cross,
Now all that I receive I count as loss.
In weakness into death it is sown.
I in this earthly tabernacle groan.
With You I’ve died; my life in You I hide.
In pow’r it shall be raised and glorified.
6.
You draw me, Lord, and after You I run.
I long for You with all my heart, God’s Son.
Against Your foes with vengeance I war!
Ignite me, Lord, with fervor more and more,
Until the Day I hear my Bridegroom say,
“Arise, My love, My fair one, come away!”
