With pure and upright conversation,
The Word of truth from us shall ring!

When in the light we’re always walking,
Our cross here bearing as we go,

Christ is the light of life from heaven,
The salt of earth, the purging fire.

To bear the cross of Christ is glorious;
It leads through death to life indeed.

For He empow’rs the broken reed. :/

O let us strive to be like Jesus;
