That He drive laborers out to His field—
Ones who bring life, exhortation, and teaching,
So that true comfort and help is revealed.
Great is the harvest; be the Lord’s true servant,
That heaven’s kingdom be ’stablished on earth.
Lay down your life for your friends and be fervent;
Those with this love are of measureless worth.

Great is the harvest; lay hold of the vision!
Right at your feet works are waiting for you,
Which God has carefully planned with precision.
Walk in the works you’re created to do.
God needs true servants, ones to give direction
Through the dark night to the heavenly shore—
Those who spread light and press on to perfection,
Pleasing the Lord in their lives more and more.

Children of God share in freedom so glorious;
All nature yearns for this true liberty.
How this should stir us! Fight on! Be victorious!
Soon on the earth, heaven’s peace we will see!
Conquer we must! Be faithful and unfailing!
O how creation desires to behold
Lives that please God and o’er sin are prevailing!
Lord, give us grace that this work can unfold!
