The greatest of wonders that e'er has occurred

1.
The greatest of wonders that e’er has occurred
Just few in this world can perceive.
The Lord builds a house on the mount of His Word,
With stones, living stones that believe.
Chorus:
I’ll build and I’ll dwell here for sure,
Where rest is and hearts are secure.
Where righteousness, peace,
Joy, and blessing ne’er cease.
I’ll build and I’ll dwell here for sure.
2.
They come, yes, they come; God’s elect He does lead
From pinnacles high and from mire.
God sends them the Spirit of Truth, whom they heed.
He works and performs His desire.
3.
Dear brother, dear sister, elect of the Lord:
Leave all your own ways far behind.
Ascend this great mountain—God’s pure, living Word.
In light, here, you’ll fellowship find.
4.
The Word of God grips us when spoken by men
Who clearly His counsels have heard.
We hear what God’s will is; our hearts comprehend.
We’re judged, and to action we’re stirred.
5.
All evil we hate and God’s justice we love;
Our hunger and thirst will be stilled;
For God gives anointing to all from above.
With pure tones of praise we are filled.
