Where my Savior leadeth me, I will follow gladly

1.
Where my Savior leadeth me,
I will follow gladly.
Doubt and fear He’s made to flee;
Tenderly He guides me.
Near His heart my place I’ve found;
There His joy and peace abound.
Where my Savior leadeth me,
I will follow gladly.
2.
When my Savior speaks to me,
I will listen gladly—
Just as Mary, quiet be;
At His feet I’ll tarry.
Far from this world’s restlessness,
Near my Lord in quietness—
When my Savior speaks to me,
I will listen gladly.
3.
All that He may ask of me,
I will give Him gladly.
Strength will then my portion be;
He will give me vict’ry.
What He does is done in love—
Wondrous work from God above!
All that He may ask of me,
I will give Him gladly.
4.
Soon our time on earth is o’er;
Life’s travail is ended.
Lamps in hand and oil in store,
With our vision lifted—
What no eye on earth can see,
But which we by faith believe,
We forever shall receive;
life’s travail is ended.
