O Lord on high, so merciful and holy

1.
O Lord on high, so merciful and holy,
We taste Your goodness, pure and glorious.
You sent Your Son, obedient, meek, and lowly
Who, with His blood, from death has purchased us.
2.
Thanks for the gift of love that You have given;
With perfect goodness Jesus came to save.
He came in lowliness to us from heaven;
His wondrous Words of life to us He gave.
3.
Behold, it’s finished! He life’s crown is wearing.
Now Christ awaits the bride His blood has bought.
Soon Zion’s throne together they’ll be sharing—
Their oneness through the cross and Word is wrought.
4.
Those who are bowed partake in transformation.
From evil cleansed, God’s goodness then flows in;
Then from their hearts flow comfort, consolation.
They have the blessed mind of Christ within.
5.
Thanks for the pillars here among us, Jesus.
They’re never moved or shaken from their place;
Their roots abide in love that never ceases,
And they are filled with wisdom, peace, and grace.
6.
God’s Word is true; the wise will shine in splendor.
His heav’nly glory ever they’ll possess
Like brightest stars, with radiant light forever,
For they led many souls to righteousness.
