I serve here a Master who gives me

1.
I serve here a Master who gives me
Whatever in life I may need.
/: My heart and my mind doth He quicken.
His Word doth my way safely lead. :/
2.
He holds me so firm lest I stumble,
So none of my lusts I fulfill,
/: When wholly I’m trusting and humble
And yield as a lamb without will. :/
3.
He filleth my cup to o’erflowing
With ointment of blessing so rare,
/: When quiet in heart I’m obeying
And seeking His presence in prayer. :/
4.
He fashions me into His likeness
When I to Him faithfully yield.
/: He waits till I’m purged from each blemish
And purest of gold is revealed. :/
5.
He’ll view then this sight, O so precious:
A beautiful vessel of gold.
/: This prize for His labor—so gracious—
One day He will tenderly hold. :/
