What a fellowship is forming

1.
What a fellowship is forming,
Bound together by the Head,
Taken out from lands and peoples
To be formed as one new bread.
Not alone for sinners died He,
But to gather into one
Scattered children from all nations—
One as Father and the Son.
(John 11:52)
2.
Now the Church shall be established:
Christ’s own body here on earth.
Hay and stubble are quite useless;
Fire will try the building’s worth.
Only gold and precious jewels
In this building will remain.
Where He leads us, we will follow
And the Spirit’s oneness gain.
3.
Let us run the race before us;
Jesus’ steps we there will find.
And we’ll also find the others
Who’ve a single heart and mind.
Cast aside each weight and hindrance
And the sin that does ensnare.
Let’s fulfill the law of Jesus:
Others’ burdens gladly bear.
4.
In the light we’ll walk with gladness,
In communion with our God,
And have fellowship together,
Cleansed by Jesus’ precious blood.
Let’s be watchful and be wakeful,
For He soon will come again;
And His precious bride He’ll rapture.
Then we’ll see Him; praise His name!
