Blest is the man who fears the Lord

1.
Blest is the man who fears the Lord
And loves His good, enlight’ning Word,
Who walks in truth from day to day;
He’s never shaken in his way.
Chorus:
God’s laws are perfect and impart
Great strength and comfort to the heart.
His Word is pure, like purest gold;
Before it Satan’s strongholds fall.
2.
He who from light to light would go
Must daily bear his cross, we know.
If you have wisdom in your heart,
You’ll let God’s chast’ning be your part.
3.
He who from pow’r to pow’r would go
Must in the light his seed here sow.
Then fruit so good he’ll surely bear,
Producing new trees everywhere.
4.
He who God’s glory would possess
Must always dwell in lowliness.
For even Jesus, heaven’s King,
Ne’er of Himself did anything.
5.
O Lord, how faithful are Thy ways;
For this Thy people give Thee praise.
Their kingly joy no tongue can tell;
In blessedness Thy people dwell.
