I praise You, dear Jesus, my Savior

1.
I praise You, dear Jesus, my Savior—
My Master and Lord on truth’s way!
My hands You are teaching to battle;
I’ll fight, Lord, for You night and day.
Chorus:
Jesus, my strength and my rock,
Fortress and shield for me too!
You are my horn of salvation.
Lord, all my trust is in You!
2.
O Lord, my delight is to battle
And triumph in all I go through.
In faithfulness I will run forward;
I’ll only be led now by You.
3.
Though foes in my flesh are so mighty,
Which rise up within and wage war,
With You in Your death I’m united;
In You I’ll abide evermore.
4.
My joy is to keep Your commandments—
Through suff’rings Your glory attain.
Then nothing is able to harm me;
In all things salvation I’ll gain.
5.
The wiles of the devil are many.
He seeks to steal peace and sow fear.
But why should I ever be anxious?
I know, Lord, that You’re with me here.
