O I belong to Jesus! He gave His life for me

1.
O I belong to Jesus! He gave His life for me.
There’s nothing that can harm me; He set the captive free.
:/: I’m free from condemnation when in the light I walk,
From Satan’s accusations that would mock. :/:
2.
O I belong to Jesus! He paid a price for me.
My body, soul, and spirit are now His property—
:/: The Holy Spirit’s temple, a place of rest and prayer,
No longer thieves and robbers dwelling there. :/:
3.
O I belong to Jesus! And in His steps I’ll walk,
My eyes set straight before me, my feet set on the Rock;
:/: The shield of faith I’m holding, God’s Word my only guide,
All other thoughts and voices cast aside. :/:
4.
O I belong to Jesus—no more the slave of fear!
God’s blessed Holy Spirit is now my Teacher here.
:/: And nevermore to darkness will I return again,
But in the light all evil I’ll condemn. :/:
5.
O I belong to Jesus! He is so kind and true.
And all His dear commandments I’ll hasten now to do.
:/: I’ll then be truly happy; it’s written in God’s Word.
Obedience to the truth brings blessings sure. :/:
6.
O I belong to Jesus! No other Lord have I.
Yes, Him I’ll surely follow and all my “self” deny.
:/: His mighty grace is o’er me to walk the way He went;
Through suff’rings I’ll become obedient! :/:
