So secure in the years of our youth we’ve become;
O how blessed is life, night and day.
God has counted each hair, and He knows their full sum;
In His hand I am placed now to stay.
When God’s kingdom we seek, do we need any more
Here in life to have joy guaranteed?
/: God supplies all our need from His bountiful store.
Trust His Word; He will meet every need. :/

In our spirits we’re blest; we have peace from above—
Free from sorrow and care all our days,
When together we’re knit by the firm bonds of love
And we keep far away from sin’s ways.
O this oneness and peace is so deep and so strong
That we humbly must bow down in awe.
/: Both the bride and the Spirit say, “Come, be along,
And rejoice in the truth of God’s law.” :/

Hear this glorious Gospel which makes our souls glad;
It gives peace and true life from the Lord.
There’s no trial too great for the servant who’s had
In his heart burning love for God’s Word.
God gives comfort and wisdom to those who are poor;
They are freed from the pit and the grave.
/: From the mire they are lifted; their steps are made sure.
Spirit, body, and soul He does save. :/

4.

So rejoice, precious soul, you who live and believe,
You who’ve answered this glorious call.
If you walk in humility, grace you’ll receive;
God will help you in life not to fall.
But if you become proud and your brother despise,
Who has help for your life to provide,
/: Then you head for destruction and certain demise,
Like a ship with no rudder to guide. :/
