Jesus has Himself united

1.
Jesus has Himself united
Those who will serve Him undivided.
Fellowship of peace divine—
They in the cross their one joy find.
2.
One in suff’rings, tribulation,
They’ve one desire and aspiration.
Their deep yearning is the same.
They have one sorrow, need, and aim.
3.
Comfort from one Fount is flowing.
They’re into rest by one faith going.
Their same God gives pow’r and might.
They in His selfsame laws delight.
4.
Close by their one Ma ster staying,
At the same altar they are praying.
With one fire that purifies,
They’re pressing t’ward the selfsame prize.
5.
Their one hope gives joy unceasing.
In the same virtues they’re increasing.
Jesus’ vict’ry: their one aim—
Their lot as pilgrims is the same.
6.
Blessed rest each one’s possessing.
They with new courage find refreshing.
When together they draw near,
They share one fellowship so dear.
7.
Bound together now and ever—
Precious their bands which naught can sever.
One in Christ—these souls unite—
Oneness in Spirit, their delight.
