Come to Me, hear Jesus gently calling

1.
“Come to Me,” hear Jesus gently calling.
“Take My yoke upon you; learn of Me.
You’ll become so humble, meek, and lowly;
How I long to give you peace and set you free.”
2.
Do you want to follow Christ the Savior?
Then deny yourself, take up your cross.
You must give your all to serve the Master,
Live for Him alone and count all else as loss.
3.
Jesus longs that those whom He has purchased
Will with Him abide eternally.
Cast aside all things that would encumber,
So that holy, pure, and spotless you can be.
4.
O make sure that you’re among His people—
Those who only live to please God’s Son,
So you’re not of those who are rejected
When you have to give account for what you’ve done.
5.
Why continue waiting on the sidelines
When God’s holy call is yours to gain?
Start at once to run with zeal and fervor,
Jesus’ everlasting glory to attain.
6.
Jesus often sends you His reminders.
Many times He’s called to you before.
Don’t you know your days are passing quickly;
Soon your time to live for Him will be no more.
