With their backs toward God’s temple,
Men bow eastward to the sun.
Women find in Tammuz comfort.
At the gate they yearn, each one.

Who of these men have been faithful
And God’s secret counsels heard?
Who has stood in God’s own presence
And received God’s holy Word?

Break right through the wall, my brother!
Let your light judge harlotry!
For the blood of souls in anguish
Cries unto God’s sanctu’ry.

All the nations have partaken
Of her fornication’s wine.
To the Word of God they’re hardened,
Eating food that’s fit for swine.

Now the myst’ry is uncovered;
Her uncleanness all can see.
Send this queen to execution,
She to whom all bowed the knee.

Satan, who’s an imitator,
Also will prepare a “bride.”
By this woman many people
Born of God are turned aside.

Heaven will shout “Hallelujah!”
When the harlot’s judgment’s passed.
All the earth will watch and marvel
That to this she came at last.
