1.
I’ve found a noble vineyard where I can dwell secure,
For there, in rest and peace, fruits of righteousness mature,
Where charity abundant increases by His grace—
No other spot on earth is so beautiful a place!
(Is. 27:2)

2.
Around this noble vineyard the Lord has built a wall
On top of which are warriors; they’re ready, one and all.
In righteousness they’re clothed; girt with Truth, they bear the Sword.
If someone wants to fight them, he’ll have to fight the Lord.

3.
Within this peaceful dwelling there are no beasts of prey.
No man is e’er complaining; no woman “has her say.”
And there no wolves are howling, and no one dominates;
But everyone’s a blessing; none makes demands or hates.

4.
The entrance to this vineyard is low and narrow too.
And then the pathway down you must walk your whole life through.
To gain this life divine, you must lay your own life down.
Be strong and of good courage, and blessing will abound.

5.
Within these walls no hireling is able to remain,
And no one tries to whitewash the truth for his own gain.
But prophets of the Lord come with judgment, comfort, light,
To heal the people’s hearts and to put all sin to flight.
