Do not delay, my brethren arm for the good!

1.
Do not delay, my brethren; arm for the good!
Look to salvation’s Captain; fight as you should.
Now has the time for action come for each man.
Give yourself for Jesus’ sake, and do what you can.
Chorus:
Battle for Him, brethren, battle for Him!
Fight by the pow’r of grace you’re given to win.
Grace is as deep and wide as all the seas on earth;
Blest is everyone whose heart believes this great truth.
2.
Be now no longer quiet; speak of His way!
Fight as the Lord Himself did fight in His day.
For He was bold to speak each day here on earth.
Be then also bold; speak only words of the truth!
3.
Do not be silent, brother; praise loud His name!
Fervently use your tongue to everyone’s gain.
Let songs of thankfulness fill all of your day.
Praise the Lord with songs of gladness—sing of His way!
4.
Wait now no longer, brother; pray from your heart!
He’ll more than willingly His riches impart.
But he who does not pray, he neither receives;
If he will not ask, then empty-handed he leaves.
5.
Don’t put it off, my brother, take pen in hand!
Write of your heav’nly treasure to every man.
Love them and serve them in a true, godly way.
Free them from all doubt, and to the Master give praise.
6.
Make the decision, brother, run, don’t just plod!
Find all the hungry souls, and lead them to God.
Bear others’ heavy burdens; fight and don’t tire.
Full-blood warriors tolerate both water and fire.
7.
Tarry no longer, for there’s no time to wait!
Start now to do the good before it’s too late.
Let all excuses fly right out of the door.
On that day God will reward you, if not before.
