Who here below will follow

1.
Who here below will follow
True where the Lamb has trod;
Will of the Lord discerning,
Heeding the Word of God;
Praying as Jesus, meekly,
“Father, forgive their sin”;
Walking with joy and patience,
Bearing His death within?
2.
Who will deny his self-will,
Be as a broken reed;
All that he has forsaking,
Hating his life indeed;
Bearing the marks of Jesus
Deeply in his own flesh;
Savor of life to life, and
Savor of death to death?
3.
Souls poor and weak and lowly
Walk on this narrow way.
Only the humble find it;
Others are led astray.
Those whom the world calls foolish,
Yet with God’s wisdom blest,
Seek but their Master’s honor
And in His presence rest.
4.
All who the Lamb here follow
Come unto where He is:
Into the Father’s presence
Through their obedience.
He who himself will humble
Honored of God shall be.
Only through death comes glory;
This is the Lord’s decree.
