O little flock weighed down with need

1.
O little flock weighed down with need,
You sow with tears and sorrow.
Christ’s footsteps walk in; they will lead
To rest and peace tomorrow.
Go forward, don’t relent.
Have faith and one intent.
Let nothing here dismay,
But battle, watch, and pray.
God’s kingdom you will enter.
2.
With patience wait upon the Lord,
And let His joy uphold you.
His Word stands fast forevermore.
With blessings He’ll enfold you.
To Him cry day and night;
He’ll hear and grant your right!
Longsuff’ring, kind is He.
He’ll meet you speedily.
Let nothing here ensnare you!
3.
God’s lowly people bowed in need
Must go through tribulation.
This pathway will to glory lead.
Each step brings more salvation.
Christ’s death within they bear.
His shame and suff’rings share.
The Lord will send His fire.
Don’t think it strange; don’t tire!
You’ll reap His joy eternal.
