Now Is the Time of Miracles!

We are currently living in a special time of grace. God is performing great miracles in our midst, and the opportunities for an abundant salvation are close at hand. “Jesus Christ has Himself solved life’s myst’ry. He will solve it for you, too, my friend!” we sing in WotL 311.

John the Baptist was in prison when he sent his disciples to Jesus and asked Him: “‘Are You the Coming One, or do we look for another?’ Jesus answered and said to them, ‘Go and tell John the things which you hear and see: the blind see and the lame walk; the lepers are cleansed and the deaf hear; the dead are raised up and the poor have the gospel preached to them.’” Matt. 11:2-5. There was no doubt that John’s disciples were able go back and tell about Jesus’ miracles. They had seen and heard them for themselves!

How is it today? Have we not seen and heard, and experienced the miracles of Jesus? We definitely have! Souls have been saved and born again. They were paralyzed by discouragement and weighed down, but through the powerful preaching of faith and God’s drawing in their hearts, they have been raised up and have begun to walk and run as if only one would receive the prize. 1 Cor. 9:24.

They pray for enlightened eyes of the heart, and they receive enlightened eyes of the heart. They begin to see the glory of God, which they were completely blind to before. The gospel is preached powerfully to the poor, especially through everything that we receive from Brunstad, through the Bible study projects and the incredibly rich resources on BMM. Ears are opened to the transformative message of the word of the cross, and a new life in sanctification grows day by day.

The calling of the bride is made alive and there is strength to be drawn from the spirit of expectation. “But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.” Isa. 40:31. An unbreakable fellowship in the Spirit develops between those who are transformed by God’s miraculous power and who remain poor in spirit. This is a fellowship of workers where God’s will is done in their own lives and in the church. This is a fellowship where unity becomes strong. This is as we sing in WotL 270: “It is a wonder, yes, more than wonder . . .”

Let us lay hold of faith that God’s miraculous power can do a mighty work in us, right until we complete our race. May we use the time and enter this precious fellowship of workers and always remain poor in spirit.

Soon we will be raised up “to meet the Lord . . . And thus we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words.” 1 Thess. 4:17-18.
