Judge Not!

Judge Not!

Luke 6:37

The French translation of this scripture reads, “Judge not at all . . . .” Criticism and judging are a fatal illness, not far from judging to condemnation!

You can easily end up condemning, with the result that you end up being condemned yourself. You can be in a condemning or in a rejecting spirit yourself even though you do not use the word condemnation or rejection. A person can, without thinking about it, sentence himself to hell.

A person can virtually be obsessed by the spirit of judging. Then he has lost his mind and does not know what he is doing! You can seek to try to correct such people, but without success. It doesn’t matter what you say to them. They do not listen to what you are saying. They just wait until you are quiet so they can start again and rumble on with all the things with which they accuse the other person. They act as if they are completely insane!

This is so extremely serious and crucial that it is vital to take it to heart earnestly in order to be always on the alert, faithfully and firmly resisting this evil inclination. Do not give in to this demonic evil—not even the least little bit.

Just because it is so indescribably dangerous, it does not say, “Do not judge too much,” or “Do not judge too harshly,” or “Do not be quick to judge,” but very decidedly: “Do not judge at all!”
