500. Easter Conference 1939

Maundy Thursday and Good Friday we had brothers’ meetings in the hall in Horten. I estimate there were about 150 brothers present. God blessed our gathering more than we can express here. We experience an amazing fellowship in the Spirit when the old man is crucified. In that one Spirit, God’s Spirit, brotherly love rules. It cannot be described; it must simply be experienced.

Several brothers from Stavanger came for the first time, and it was a joy for all of us to sense that they enjoyed themselves thoroughly. There were also two brothers who came from Denmark.

The last two days were a general conference for everyone. 190 sisters had registered. It was a full house, as usual. God’s blessings were abundantly present, and the Word that was spoken was received with open hearts.

The Word of the cross is a tremendous power of God. It frees our conferences from people who are manifestly carnal, and so we have it unspeakably good. Praise God!!!

All of the young brothers who are working in Stavanger and in southern Norway were present, as was brother Elias Aslaksen and the servants from the churches in most places in eastern Norway.
