498. Report from the Mission Work 1939

The young brothers S. Bratlie, Aksel Smith, and Elihu Pedersen are currently in Stavanger where they are preaching “God’s Way,” “The Way of the Cross,” and “The Way of Faith.” People in this town also need to have the way of God explained more accurately to them. And some people in this town also have a noble mind, just like Apollos, to whom Priscilla and Aquila explained the way of God more accurately. I hope that men will arise among these dear brothers who, just like Apollos, can vigorously refute the Jews (that is, the spiritually handicapped, malnourished, religious slaves of men that have not learned to think for themselves), showing from the Scriptures that Jesus (the Son of Man) is the Christ. Acts 18:24-28. God’s light has already shined into many hearts—they rejoice in Spirit and truth and share the Bread of Life (God’s Word) together. God is with us, but this doctrine is spoken against everywhere (Acts 28:22), particularly among preachers that are afraid of losing their malnourished sheep, since they still have a little bit of wool that could be used.

Many of these sheep have already become very happy. We could fill the paper many times over with testimonies about that.

Brothers Wetlesen and Jonassen are working in Kristiansand and Mandal. More and more people in Southern Norway are also receiving light and joy.

Obviously these young brothers must have some power, since they are able to make such waves wherever they are. For the kingdom of God is not only in word, but in power. (1 Cor. 4:20.)
