What God’s grace accomplishes inwardly in individuals also spreads outwardly. It is becoming increasingly evident to people that they have to do the Word of God. Everyone who receives light becomes a co-worker, each one in his own place. More and more people are becoming gripped of the effective power of God’s Word to transform people. The young brothers’ work in Bagn and Trondheim is bearing good fruit. And the great thing about this revival is that almost all of the new converts remain steadfast. The reason for this is that they have been taught to live according to God’s will and not according to their human lusts.

Wherever there are meetings, many people come, and they are instructed according to God’s Word. The false doctrine, which superficial people have preached round about the country, says that God’s Word cannot be lived. But it has been. People preach that we should do nothing because Jesus has done everything, and that anything we do is just bondage. Now people are being taught to be obedient to the promptings of faith, as the Scriptures say. Rom. 1:5; Acts 6:7; Rom. 10:16; Rom. 15:18; Rom. 16:26; Phil. 2:12. Those who begin to live this inner, hidden, blessed life purify themselves in obedience to the truth and become bold and happy. They give powerful testimonies about the light and the joy they have received, and this in turn gives more and more people renewed courage. The false liberty, which is so appealing to the flesh and to those who preach it, becomes more and more distant. God is doing amazing things in our days. Our opponents rage and roar like lions. Religious leaders, that usually cannot bear to see one another, agree both in writing and verbally to strengthen the hands of the ungodly to throw snowballs and stones, and also to verbally abuse those who proclaim the Word of God. There is nothing new under the sun: on the day that Christ was to be crucified, Herod, Pilate, and Caiaphas became good friends.

I was in Denmark recently where God’s churches are emerging in various places as in the days of the apostles. Young men are being filled with zeal and enthusiasm so that the effective power of the Spirit of truth spreads to many people.

We had a blessed conference in Esbjerg. People came from various places in Schleswig, and they all testified with great joy about the light God had sent them. They also testified about being warned by people who themselves were totally ignorant of “God’s Way.” Satan’s kingdom is shaken, divisions caused by parties are pulled down, and God’s people are being made into “one people.” This takes place when everyone sanctifies Christ as Lord in their hearts.

The meetings in Esbjerg ended with the Lord’s Supper. God’s Spirit and grace were powerfully present.

We had blessed Bible studies in Fredericia and Halk. I believe God did His work there.

The church in Copenhagen is becoming more and more established. It was blessed to have Bible studies and meetings together with the friends there. Here, too, servants are also growing up in the church, which is a joy for all of us. Several friends from the churches in Copenhagen and Schleswig have participated in the conferences in Norway with us.

Work is being done up in Drammen and along the river towards Gullskogen, Krokstadelven, Hokksund, and Skotselv, as well as other places. At a recent conference in Drammen we were happy to see many friends from these regions in addition to many friends from Oslo, Horten, etc. People’s testimonies are becoming more and more steadfast and sure, so many were strengthened in their faith.

We also had a conference in Porsgrunn recently. Many people came from Skien, Brevik, and other places. We also had some Bible studies together in Porsgrunn. In these areas there are several brothers growing up whom I believe will become useful servants in the church. We heard in the conference that we do not need the masses; rather, we need Gideon’s men with torches in their pitchers. The masses are usually unbelieving, but one believing person is worth more than ten thousand others.

God confirms His Word with accompanying signs, as many sick people are healed. However, we need much more of this, because there are sick people in need of help everywhere.

Wherever anyone partakes of life, a work begins quite naturally. Each one works as the leaven; each one becomes a preacher among his own close friends. Many of the sisters are also doing an excellent work in all quietness.
