489. Conference in Hallingdal 1937

We praise God for this blessed conference. God unites us more deeply and more fervently every time we are together. East Norway and West Norway meet each other.

This time there were probably 400 of us who gathered together. It was so precious to see that many came all the way from Trondheim, and down the coast as far as Bergen, as well as from the cities in eastern Norway. There was complete agreement that the flesh with its lusts and desires, belongs on the cross; and that the resurrection life is to reign in our bodies. We see many new faces at every conferences, but it is a special joy to see the older faithful friends, who have lived the hidden life with Christ in God for many years.

It is not easy to gather so many people in such a small village. But up until now it has worked out just fine because the villagers have been very warm and helpful. As the years have gone by, they have understood that they are dealing with upright people. The meals went very efficiently and quickly.
