462. Conference in Nesbyen 1933

This year more friends came from Denmark than in any previous year. The two Norwegian brothers, Ellefsen (from Fredericia) and Sigurd Bratlie (from Copenhagen), were also there. We estimate that there were probably around 100 visitors; however, the turnout from West Norway was down compared with previous years.

We had a blessed conference. God’s grace was over us richly. The Word of the cross always gives rich nourishment. These heavenly dishes truly make our gatherings a feast in which we experience that His flesh is food indeed and His blood is drink indeed. God’s glory is revealed in this unity of the cross, whereas the idols die of malnutrition. Many people from Nesbyen listened carefully during the meetings, and they had great difficulty tearing themselves away afterwards.

After the conference some of us, together with the Danish friends, went up to brother O. Løken’s farm in Hemsedal, below Skogshorn. It was a special opportunity to be immersed in God’s majesty and power in nature.

The next day we traveled to Hønefoss and visited Sister Brekke and brother Aslaksen, where we had an excellent evening meeting about the brotherhood and brotherly love. This increases and becomes deeper year after year. Finally the time came to say goodbye. The Danish friends traveled to Oslo and Drøbak, and the rest of us went to Horten. We were all thankful to God for a blessed conference.
