435. Easter Conference 1929

The Easter conference is over, and God’s grace is just as new. “In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, high and lifted up.” When all our feasts and works are over, the Lord is as mighty as ever to continue His works.

This short gathering of ours was like a tiny piece of the whole work. The theme this time was the same as before: battle, fighting, cross, and grave over all flesh; victory over sin; false prophets, who are not ministers of Christ, but worship their own belly. Sufferings here, glory there, etc.

Truly, the Word of the cross is the power of God to us who believe. It is a wall of Jerusalem for His people, and everyone at the conference rejoiced within these walls in the unity of the Spirit, as is fitting in the fellowship of the saints. This is where brethren dwell together in unity, and here the blessing is commanded.

The friends from West Norway held a conference in Bergen. They greeted us by telegram. We also received telegrams from Måløy and Mehavn. Warm thanks for these kind greetings.

Now we are looking forward to the Pentecost conference. May God continue to give grace and power for this work which is so rich in blessings and is now, quietly and surely, becoming established according to the laws of the Spirit. But this only happens in the shelter of the cross, cross, cross over all flesh and every carnal person.
