Dear Jesus, thanks for life You’ve given me.
I thank You that I’m called Your own to be.
It is not I, dear Lord, who’ve chosen You,
But I was chosen by Your counsels true.

Since it is You who chose me by Your grace,
You’ll also give me strength to run the race.
You cleanse me, Jesus. Dross You purge away,
So I can stand without a spot that Day.

You send what’s best. You know what I can bear—
I’m kept from harm when I am in Your care.
With loving hand You guide in all my ways.
This I believe, and I am filled with praise.

You’ve counted all the hairs upon my head.
You know exactly where my foot will tread.
I rest in you, established in Your Word.
You are my fortress and my Rock, dear Lord.

On You I wait; You strengthen me with might.
My tribulations here are short and light.
The end of time on earth is very near,
And soon the trumpet’s sound from heav’n we’ll hear.

I’ll praise and honor You in all I do.
My life will always testify of You.
You live in me—in You I’ll faithful be.
