God Almighty up in heaven,
Lord of Hosts and King of Kings,
Speaks and calls to us from Zion—
Judgments to His people brings.
Fire before Him does devour;
All around the Lord it storms;
Thus in spite of Satan’s power,
An eternal work God forms.

Gather those whom God has chosen,
Those in covenant with Him,
Those who love the light and judgment
And despise all flesh and sin.
With the cross and Sword as weapons,
They in Jesus’ death abide.
Faith and Spirit’s fire fill them.
Heav’n for them is open wide.

We will praise our God in heaven!
Now our brother’s home with Him.
He was offered, wholly given
For the New Jerusalem.
For the flock as an example,
Faithful, full of zeal was he.
As a pillar in God’s temple
He’ll abide eternally.

Thank you, wise and faithful servant.
You the mind of Christ possessed.
Those with God and Christ united
Enter into joy and rest.
You proclaimed salvation’s pathway.
Your whole life to Jesus drew.
Thanks for what you’ve written, spoken;
Life and spirit flowed from you.

Thanks that we from you heard clearly
What the Spirit had to say.
Seeds of light in hearts you planted
With abundance on your way.
Help to many you have given.
Now with gratitude and song,
Praise and thanks arise to heaven
From this jubilant, happy throng.
