Within God’s temple everything says, “Glory!”
There holy fear and worship never cease—
/: O precious place where I may dwell in safety
And in God’s holy presence rest in peace. :/

O blessed place, where midst the earthly turmoil,
My heart rejoices, undisturbed each day;
/: I thank Thee, God, Thy kingdom dwells within me;
It found its way into my heart to stay. :/

There I behold Thee, great and mighty Master,
And more like Thee become from day to day.
/: There all that’s human—every trace—must vanish;
Thy fire shall purge the dross of sin away. :/

4.

Each day anew I come with thirst so pressing,
Draw deeply from the fountain of Thy grace.
/: ’Tis only slothfulness that can exclude me
From what, by rights, in Christ I may embrace. :/

5.

One glorious Day this work shall be completed;
I shall appear, arrayed in bridal dress.
/: Then every knee shall bow in humble worship,
And Thine almighty pow’r each tongue confess. :/
